Hulsman Undergraduate Library Research Travel Award
The HULRA Travel Award, part of the Jim & Mary Lois Friday Hulsman Undergraduate Library Research Award program, supports students whose research falls outside of traditional funding opportunities and who are practicing the craft of library and archival research through an advanced stage of research travel.
Up to two awards of $1000 each will be awarded per year, distributed to the awardee’s bursar’s account.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be current undergraduate students enrolled at UNM Central Campus.
- Research teams or groups of students working collaboratively are permitted to apply, but will be treated as a single applicant and, if chosen, must split the award between group members.
- Research travel to libraries, archives, and museums will be prioritized, but any research travel is eligible, including travel to conferences and research-relevant events.
- Award is limited to future travel only; it cannot be used to reimburse travel that has already been completed.
- Travel must be completed within one academic year after receiving the award. Graduating seniors must complete their travel within six months of their graduation date.
