Interlibrary Loan
We can deliver journal articles and book chapters from the University Libraries collection and from other libraries directly to you at no charge. We may also be able to direct you to other e-resources, including e-books.
This service is available for UNM students, faculty, staff, and affiliates only.
We are actively coordinating with lending institutions to reach agreements on extending existing due dates. We have turned off ILLiad's automated overdue notifications. If you are in possession of an interlibrary loan item with an upcoming due date, please continue to use the material beyond the due date.
We are temporarily modifying our policies to alleviate any pressure felt by our patrons.

Online Course Reserves
Need help with digitizing your print reserve items so they can be added to your UNM Learn course? We can help! Please use our new online request form.
For questions about adding materials to your Learn class, see this guide. At this time, we are able to accept requests for print items already located in the library (items already on reserve, items on our shelves not checked out).
We do not currently have a way to digitize DVDs and other media. Some vendors, including Kanopy Streaming Video, have made available additional content due to the COVID-19 crisis. Please see our Streaming Media Research Guide for additional resources.
Please email libacc@unm.edu and/or rvgarcia@unm.edu for additional questions about print reserves. Please be aware that due to the potential volume of requests, we will be prioritizing items based on when they are needed in classes. Please accurately fill out the form, including needed dates. Any forms that are incomplete will take longer to process. We have noticed potential issues of information not saving on forms filled out using Google Chrome as a browser, please verify your information has been saved before submitting.

Renew Books Online
You can also renew your books online - click the Renew Books button on the library website.
Returning Materials
If possible, please hold on to your books and media until we return to normal operations. Special considerations will be made in this situation, including extending due dates.
Do not return equipment – such as calculators for example – using the book returns. If the library is closed when your equipment items are due, return them to a service desk the next time we are open and we will amend any fines.
